User-defined Mode

1. What is "User-defined Mode "?

"User-defined Mode" is the powerful complementarity to the RAID Type which can't be supported by the system. User can set up the RAID Type, the serial number on every strip, thus it can increase the flexibility of the system.

2. How to use "User-defined Mode"?

User can enter this Mode by choosing the "User-defined Mode" in the "Select Analysis Modes" interface. 

The operation needs user know the Stripe Order. To Raid 0, Raid 5 and Raid 5EE, user can adjust the Stripe Order when load 3 hard disks/files or more; To Raid 5EE, Raid 6, user can adjust the Stripe order when load 4 hard disks/files or more. This function is more flexible. You can pull the Stripe to the right location by left click.

 

Click "Analyze", you will get the analysis results and the Raid information. Click "Scan Device", you will get the hard disk partitions.
